SEO can be very daunting, especially for newbie bloggers (like me) or those unfamiliar with how the internet works (also me). So I’ve put together a Beginner’s Guide to WordPress SEO to help you optimise your site.
When I first started out blogging, I didn’t even know about SEO. Let alone thinking it was something I needed to learn and apply to my own site! But I was desperate to improve and after about 6 months, I realised SEO was crucial.
I searched the internet, reading lots of things I didn’t understand and making notes that made no sense! Eventually it started coming together, and I decided to put together a Beginner’s Guide to WordPress SEO to help you optimise your site.
After having received such great feedback from he first edition of Behind the Blog, I’m excited to introduce my new guest for December: Gemma from An Ocean Glimmer – let’s meet her now!
“I am Gemma, the blogger behind An Ocean Glimmer, a beauty and lifestyle blog. I’m based in Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City. Alongside my blog, I am a full time University student currently studying Journalism as well as working part-time as a Sales Assistant. I have been blogging for about five years now, but I started weekly blogging just a couple of months back.”
I’ve now been blogging for about a month, and I’m loving every minute if it – the blog chats, tags, the support and, of course, the fun. But whilst I’m still a relatively new blogger, I’ll be the first to admit that I pretty much suck at blogging.
Consistency, content, photos, social media – yep, I fail at them all. I get a day when I’m so inspired I could write and write and write, then… nothing. I’ll have a crappy day at work, come home, change into my pyjamas, drink some wine and decide to become a hermit for the evening.
It’s December 4th, and so far I have loved reading all the blogmas posts around. From gift guides and wishlists to traditions and recipes, there are so many interesting reads at the moment. Unfortunately, I’m not taking part in blogmas this year, mainly because I’ve only been blogging for 3 weeks, and I only really discovered blogmas about 10 days ago… #facepalm.
But! I have been so inspired by everyone’s posts, that I thought I’d round up my 12 favourite blogs of blogmas that you just have to read:
I am super thrilled to have joined Facebook group Beauties on Fire, and I’d love for you to get to know us a little bit better, heck, why not even join us! Here’s a little bit about the group:
I am super excited to announce my brand new monthly feature “Behind the Blog”, in which I get to interview some lovely and inspirational bloggers!! This month, I’m honoured to have the lovely Beth Foust, the lady behind everythingandnothin.com as my first guest – let’s meet her!
“My name is Elisabeth and I am the blogger behind Everything & Nothin’. I am a beauty and subscription box blogger. I have a huge addiction to makeup and subscription boxes (I totally need help…Haha). I love testing new products and creating fun looks. I am also launching a new website soon. I will help bloggers contact and connect with brands. I have worked with many companies and I love helping other bloggers succeed. I have been blogging for about 2 years.”
